PROFEL – the European Association of Fruit and Vegetable Processing Industries – is the recognised voice of the processed fruit and vegetable sector in Europe. The organisation provides advice and support to its members, facilitates technical cooperation, and monitors legislative developments relevant to the businesses. The association represents over 500 companies in 11 European countries through national associations or direct company membership.

PROFEL’s member companies annually produce approximately:

  • Frozen vegetables – 3.300.000 tonnes
  • Canned vegetables – 2.100.000 tonnes
  • Canned Deciduous fruits and compotes – 1.000.000 tonnes
  • Fruit preserves and jams – 485.000 tonnes
  • Dried vegetables – 50.000 tonnes
